These terms cover your use of Empire CDL (the iOS and Android apps and the website), published by Wadsworth AI LLC. By using the app you agree to them.
A study aid, not the official test
Empire CDL is an independent study aid based on the New York State Commercial Driver's Manual (CDL-10). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the New York State DMV or any government agency. Questions are practice questions written from the manual, not actual test questions. Laws and tests change, so always check the current official manual. A practice score doesn't guarantee a test result.
Not driving instruction
The app helps you study for knowledge tests. It is not a substitute for professional driver training. Never use the app while driving.
Accounts
An account is optional. You are responsible for your account, and you can delete it at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Purchases
"Remove Ads" is a one-time purchase handled by Apple or Google under their terms, including their refund policies. It removes ads on the platform where you bought it, and on your other devices once you're signed in. You can restore it from the app.
Ads
The free apps show ads from third parties. We aren't responsible for the content of third-party ads or websites.
Content and license
The app, its design and its study content (except the underlying public manual) belong to Wadsworth AI LLC. You may use it for your own personal study. Don't copy, resell or redistribute it.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Wadsworth AI LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any test outcome, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
Changes and law
We may update these terms, and the effective date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
